Journal Prompt Ideas For August with the theme Goals and Dreams. I believe that having short and long term goals has helped me to stay more focussed and it also increases my productivity.

Journaling has helped me to reflect on all my goals and dreams. There are so much that I want to achieve and I write everything down in my journal. Whenever I feel that I am less motivated, I would sit in a quiet place and re-read my journal. That is when I would audit my progress and see how closely I am to achieve those goals.

That’s my list of 31 Journal Prompt Ideas For August. I am focussing on goals and dreams because my blog will be turning a year old this month. There is so much I have learned in the past year and there are so much more that I want to achieve. I usually try to set daily goals apart from my monthly and yearly goals. So it is almost every day that I write at least one short term goal in my journal.

  1. Oh gosh the lessons I have learned in the past three years have been insane and wonderful. These are great prompts and I might actually have to sit down and do that one in particular.

  2. This is such an important exercise to undertake. When you write something down, you are far more likely to refer to it and follow it more closely, and with greater commitment. Having a journal really does help you stay focused to achieve your goals.

      1. I have no goals for the future because I learn to be free from control. The future is just a fantasy, the past is just memories. To be in the moment is the miracle.

    I find this journal prompt ideas super useful! Honestly, I don’t take too much time to set my goals, I mean wit that kind of deep questions! I’m going to try this journal for sure

  6. I’ll just take some of these prompts and go back to journaling. Your post was an inspiration, I needed it. Last year I was journaling for about 6 months, every month I would set some goals. And then I just stopped, feel bad that I did. Thanks for this, it’s already pinned on my board 🙂

  7. I love the list!!! What caught my attention the most is this: What distractions are stopping you from being more productive? I need to get rid of all distractions.
