My Goals For July 2019. I love setting goals. It helps me to be more productive and focused. I usually just write my monthly goals in my journal and mostly I manage to achieve only half of my goals.

Starting this month, I want to be more organized, focused and motivated. So I am going to start sharing my monthly goals here in this blog. Hoping that I could at least get an 80% rate of success. And who knows in the process, I can help others to feel motivated too.

My Goals For July 2019

My Top 5 Monthly Goals For July 2019

Increase Viewers On Pinterest

My monthly viewers have dropped on Pinterest. I am not sure what is wrong, because I am pinning as usual. I am guessing it’s summer and the majority are on vacation or enjoying their time outdoors. I am not letting those numbers stress me as long as the traffic to my blog has not dropped drastically.

For July my goal is to create more fresh pins. To be honest I love creating new pins and experimenting with the different pin sizes and visuals. As of the time I am typing this, my Pinterest monthly viewers is at 52k. So I am targeting to increase it to 72k by the end of this month.

Read More Books

I love to read but recently I have been busy. Finishing to read even one book a month has been impossible. I am hoping to make more time to read and I am targeting to read at least 2 books each month starting July.

To get me in the reading mood, I went to a book fair yesterday (The Big Bad Wolf) and with a budget of RM 100 (roughly about 24 USD), I was able to buy 10 books. This can last me a few months before I go book shopping again.

Declutter And Decorate My Home Office

My home office is where I spend most of my mornings and afternoons. At the moment I still have a couple of cupboards and drawers to declutter. I love doing papercraft projects, so you can imagine all those scrap pieces, paper stock, craft supplies and anything craft related that are taking up a lot of space in my office.

I need to organize all my things neatly so they would be easier to find. I also want to give a few of my old cabinets a new facelift. Recently I bought some wallpaper to paste on my old cabinets. I am guessing that this DIY project will keep me busy for a few days.

Content Planning And Preparing

I am managing more than one blog, so at times it is difficult to post new articles as often as I wish. I guess the only way I can post articles frequently is by planning and preparing a few articles in advance and then schedule post them.

I know it won’t be easy at the beginning. I want to prepare at least 10 posts in advance but I am not sure if I could do it. Preparing even one complete post takes me a couple of hours. So for starters, my goal for July 2019 is to plan, prepare and schedule 4 posts in advance.

Learn More About Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is not something new to me. When I used to blog in my country’s national language (Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu) I had a good income from affiliate marketing.

But last year I challenge myself to start an English language blog and focus on a wider audience. Though the concept of affiliate marketing is almost the same, the approach may be different. I can’t ‘promote’ the same products for the local and international market. My audience is different so I need to learn a new approach as well.

I tried to pin one of my affiliate link on Pinterest, but it was detected as spam. I am not sure why because I did follow a few tutorials. I am guessing I must be doing a step wrongly. Need to do more research on affiliate marketing.

There you go My Top 5 Monthly Goals For July 2019. Will share the outcome when July is over. Hopefully, I can succeed in doing all 5.

  12. The hard thing with Pinterest and all social media to be honest is that it’s always changing the rules of the game. It comes out as a useful tool and then they change the rules. Which means you have to keep up with the rules or suffer the consequences. And you have to understand that it’s mostly about these social media companies getting money, whether it be your purchasing or promotions or otherwise. It’s difficult sometimes to deal with but what you have to deal with to find success.

    1. karenmonica says:

I have to agree with you on that. It always keeps changing and does have an effect on everything and everyone involved.
