But then I thought to myself that when I first started to blog, I knew nothing about it too. And fast forward to this moment, I am still enjoying every blogging day. So I decided to go ahead with the idea and honestly I am actually enjoying my new YouTube Channel. Do check it out and subscribe.

How To Make A Paper Flower Basket

Yesterday I made a paper flower basket video for my YouTube channel. This basket is very easy to make. It is beautiful as a hanging decor or as a gift. Even the kids will enjoy making this.

For this flower basket basket below I used:

For the Paper Flower
17 (5cm x 5cm) paper
19 (4cm x 4cm) paper
some punch out dots

For the Paper Basket
1 (20cm x 20cm) square cardstock
1 (6cm diameter) circle cardstock

How To Make A Simple 6 Petal Paper Flower

Easy DIY Paper Flower Basket Tutorial

To make the flower all you have to do is fold the paper from one end to another to form a triangular shape. Then take the right sharp corner and fold it to the left. Next fold the left sharp corner to the right. Then draw the shape of a single petal. Finally cut it out and you will have a beautiful 6 petal flower. For this paper basket project, you will need at least 17 flowers.

Follow the video below to see some easy steps to make these lovely paper flowers.

Remember that you can also use a puncher or a die to cut out some paper flowers. But it is always fun to do everything using the basics.

How To Make The Hanging Paper Basket

First measure the cardstock in half then draw a straight line. Next mark 1cm each from left to right at the top of the card and also at the straight line that you just drew.

Now draw straight vertical lines from the 1 centimetre markings. Then measure at 3 centimeter from the top of the card on the left and also on the right. Instead of drawing a straight line, this time skip each centimeter of the vertical lines that you drew just now.

The next step is to cut and curl the strips. Put glue on the last strip from top to bottom and take the other end of the card and glue it together. Now you will have a cylinder shape basket.

Measure the circle cardstock with the bottom of the basket and draw another circle on circle card. Then snip the edges and fold it. This is to cover the bottom part of your basket.

Now take to strips from the opposite corner and glue the ends to make the basket handle.

Finally glue the flowers on each strip and also on the basket handle.
